Enjoy Springtime by Doing These 10 Things

Spring is a wonderful time of year to enjoy the outdoors with your child and create lasting memories together. Here are 10 fun ways to get ready for spring with your little one:

Plant a Garden:

Teach your child about nature by planting flowers, vegetables, or herbs together in your backyard or in pots on your balcony. It’s a great way to bond and learn about the environment.

Spring Cleaning:

Get your child involved in decluttering and organizing their toys and clothes. Make it fun by turning on some music and having a dance party while you clean.

Outdoor Picnic:

Pack a picnic basket with your child’s favorite snacks and head to a local park for a fun day out in the sun. Don’t forget a blanket to sit on!

Nature Walks:

Take leisurely walks in your neighborhood or a nearby nature reserve to explore the blooming flowers, chirping birds, and fresh air. Encourage your child to observe and ask questions about the environment around them.

Arts and Crafts:

Get creative with spring-themed arts and crafts projects like painting flower pots, making paper butterflies, or creating a springtime collage. Let your child’s imagination run wild!

Visit a Farm:

Spend a day at a local farm or petting zoo to see baby animals, feed the goats, and learn about farm life. It’s a hands-on experience that your child will love.

Fly a Kite:

Enjoy the windy spring weather by flying a kite with your child. Head to an open field or beach and watch as the colorful kite soars high in the sky.

Bake Spring Treats:

Get your child involved in the kitchen by baking delicious spring-themed treats like flower-shaped cookies, lemon bars, or fruit tarts. It’s a tasty way to celebrate the season!

DIY Bird Feeder:

Help your child make a DIY bird feeder using recycled materials like a milk carton or toilet paper roll. Hang it in your backyard and watch as colorful birds visit for a snack.

Plan a Spring Scavenger Hunt:

Create a list of spring-themed items for your child to find in your backyard or local park. It’s a fun and interactive way to explore nature and enjoy the season together.

Spring is here, friends!

It was definitely a more mild winter season where I live (of course the year my toddler can play in the snow and has a cute snowsuit we only have like two small storms total LOL)

My family and I are ready for longer days, trees coming back to life, flowers blooming, and warmer weather. If you have young children you know how frustrating the cold season can be. Even though I get my child outside as much as I can it was just too cold to be outside for long.

I just know he was over it, and so was I.

But, I think we’re finally past the chilly days, and random snow flurries. The forecast for my state is saying 70 degrees, so I think its safe to say GOODBYE WINTER.

As a person who gets S.A.D (seasonal affective disorder) Im happy.

As a mom Im jumping for joy, and I know you are too!

With these 10 exciting ideas, you and your child(ren) are sure to have a fantastic time getting ready for the consistent warm weather and embracing all the beauty and wonder this season has to offer. Enjoy making memories and cherishing special moments with your little one!

Make sure to tell me all about it in the comments 💖
