10 Date Night Ideas That You Need to Try
If you find yourself falling into a routine, don’t worry.
It happens to most of us, especially if you’ve been with your partner for awhile. My husband and I have been together for over 11 years so I know how it can get.
Sometimes you don’t even realize you’re doing it!
On the other hand, maybe you’re not in a routine at alI, and you’re just trying to find some alternatives for you and your date to try.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t always want to do dinner and a movie.
So, I came up with a list of date night ideas that aren’t talked about enough.
Married or dating.
Together for years, or just starting out.
Without a doubt, there is something on this list you should try out.
You can also use check out my post on love languages here that may help you create the perfect date night!

Get a couples massage
It’s a relaxing and peaceful environment that puts you in the BEST mood after.
Go to a painting class
This is a great idea if you want to do something fun and creative. Plus, you get a souvenir afterwards.
You can find deals on Groupon.com!
Go to a poetry slam

Such a chill scene. Sit back, have some light conversation, and enjoy the performers. If you check out eventbrite.com it will show you upcoming poetry readings in your area. The ones my husband and I would go to were free admission at local coffee shops.
Go to an amusement park
You don’t have to be a kid to enjoy a day at the carnival or somewhere like Disneyland. You don’t need to love rollercoasters either, you can most definitely find something you and your date like.
Skip around with a corndog in hand, and have fun.
Have a photoshoot
This option is for the more seasoned couples. (It may be a bit awkward to have a photoshoot on your third date) If that’s not an issue, go for it!
Go take some cute pictures together when the lighting is just right.
Visit a new city
My husband and I love taking day trips to a random city. You get to see things you don’t on a regular basis, and you’re not too far from home. Perfect.
Go on a picnic
It’s about to be Spring! Go out and enjoy this beautiful weather.
I don’t know why but eating outside always gives the meal a little razzle dazzle.
Browse downtown shops
There are a lot of hidden gems in your downtown area – so many interesting shops, bookstores, and boutiques that can keep you busy for hours. Support your local businesses and try it out!
Play board games
Don’t underestimate a night in playing board games. You can even turn it into a couples game night!
Lastly,
Volunteer somewhere
Volunteering together can be so fun. It’s nice to get to know the person you’re with on a deeper level. When my husband and I were 17 I signed us up for a Halloween party for children at our local rec-center. Initially it wasn’t what he wanted to do for Sweetest Day, but we ended up having so much fun. Almost 10 years later, and it’s still one of my favorite outings.
If you found something you liked suggest it next time for date night!
